The Sammy Screamer is a motion alarm that you can attach to anything and it will send you a notification on your smart phone as well as send out a bleeping alarm if it's moved at all. Perfect for sticking on a your personal stack of cookies or a cake you just baked to let you know if your roommates are stealing your food, sticking on your front door to detect intruders, or placing on your laptop or backpack if you're in public to make sure your stuff doesn't get stolen if you step away from it for a second.
Sammy Screamer connects to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth, so unfortunately you won't be able to get notifications when you're not around it (maybe the next version will connect to your wi-fi to get remote notifications), but will still work great for a lot of different things while your within Bluetooth range.
Created by BleepBleeps, a company that makes gadgets to make your parenting life easier, the Sammy Screamer motion alarm works alongside an app for your smart phone or tablet where you get the notifications of movements, as well as have the ability to change settings like motion sensitivity, and volume levels of alerts.
The Sammy Screamer motion alarm device is made from plastic, with a brass M2 insert, and a polyester cord to hang it on things, is powered by a coin cell battery which is included, is compatible with iOS and Android devices only, comes in a plethora of different colors to choose from, and measures 1.9 inches wide x 2 inches long x 1.1 inches deep.
Sammy Screamer was originally funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $90,000 to help manufacture the device back in early 2014, and is now fully for sale.
