This Giant Monopoly Quilt Is The Greatest Way To Play The Classic Board Game

Ever wanted to be able to get comfortable under a quilt but still be able to play Monopoly at a moment’s notice? No matter the answer to that question, this giant monopoly board quilt is incredible for relaxing, and it’s large enough to let you actually play the game, if you want to.

This Monopoly game board quilt looks nearly identical to the classic Monopoly board, even in the details like the font, imagery and proportions.

The thing that makes it distinct from the board, however, is its huge size — which appears to be around six feet square, by the looks of it in some pictures on the page.

The page owner posted in January of last year saying they are working on a tutorial pattern for the Monopoly quilt to share with people.

They also said they started the quilt in January 2020 without a quilt pattern, using just trial and error, and ultimately completed it in October 2020. Upon completion, the shop sent it off to have it professionally quilted.

The last post on the page was in February 2021, though there are reasons to believe you can still get your hands on the tutorial for this playable monopoly quilt.

For one, the page author said they were “putting the finishing touches on the tutorial” in the February post last year, and the page still appears to be active through Messenger.

While the page hasn’t made any posts in a while, Facebook does say it typically replies in a few hours on Messenger — so they may still be doling out orders and working on a tutorial.

In addition, the shop lists a phone number and an email address, so you might even be able to reach them one of those ways.

If that isn’t enough, the comments are absolutely filled to the brim with interested parties wanting to get their hands on a quilt, the Monopoly quilt pattern or the entire package including 3D printed hotels and houses.

The page has just two reviews, both five stars, though it’s hard to deny its nearly 7,000 followers and page likes.

The Facebook page also says the shop is based out of Tempe, Arizona, so assuming orders are going out, they most likely ship more quickly in the Southwest Region.

In a five-star rating and recommendation of the shop, Arlene said the quilt is “just so different and it seems like it would be a lot of fun.”

It rings back to some other OddityMall quilt pattern favorites from the past, including these stained glass quilts and the bookcase quilt with customized books, hobbies and imagery.

The page that makes the Monopoly Quilt also has pictures of a handful of other designs, which may or may not be able to be purchased from their shop as well.

The Monopoly quilt pattern comes from the Art From the Heart Quilts page on Facebook, and while the page isn’t the most active on its timeline, it appears there may be a few ways to get in contact with the owner.

While it isn’t a surefire purchase due to the page’s potential inactivity, there sure are a lot of people hoping to get their hands on one — so perhaps it stands to reason that Art From the Heart Quilts has the quilts or tutorials available for purchase, or will eventually.

Update: After contacting the Art From the Heart Quilts Facebook page, the owner has stated they do offer fully completed Monopoly board quilts to people that reach out on their Facebook page. She also mentions that they have a turnaround time of around 3 months for a fully completed Monopoly quilt. So if you're looking for a board game quilt for a Christmas gift, you better get on that quick!
