Every Grandparent Probably Needs This Rocking Chair That Helps You Hold 3 Kids!

If you're a kid, there is no more coveted a spot than on the lap of Grandma or Grandpa (or as I prefer, Nana and Papa). But what do you do if you have more than one (or maybe two if you're talented and they're not too big) grandchild? Enter the fits and screams as all those little hands try to pry and pull their competitors off of Nana's lap. Thanks to this genius Story Time Rocking Chair, you can now triple the number of grand kids you can snuggle with at one time - story time just got way less complicated!
This rocking chair is hand made by a craftsman with 24+ years of experience who was looking to solve a problem he had. He loved story time with his three kids, but had run out of lap room when his last child was born. Not wanting to leave any of his children out, he took his rocking chair making skills to the next level and created this triple seater.
What makes this chair even better (ahem, more expensive) is that it is built FOR YOU. That's right, it is made to fit you and your family perfectly. The craftsman, Hal Taylor, is so meticulous about his craft that when making one of these Story Time Rocking Chairs he will request your height and inseam measurement along with a picture to make sure he makes a chair that will fit you so comfortably you'll never want to leave.
Once he has your measurements he carefully matches each piece of wood to make sure it looks good together and he hand planes the seat to ensure it is bilaterally symmetrical and comfortable. And you should be comfortable, you're about to have a dog pile of grandchildren on your lap.
Hal knows his chair is a bit pricey (starting at $7,500), but his reasoning is as sound as the chairs he makes, "YES [the chair is expensive] but ask yourself this question. ‘Of all of the things I have spent money on in the last 20 years, how many of them will ever be used by my great grandchildren??’ This chair will!” So I ask you - can you really put a price on the great memories you'll be making with your grandchildren?!
"The joints in this chair, there are six just like this, are quite complex and it takes time to make them perfectly. No chair leaves my shop without perfect joints as you can see below!"
"In order to fabricate one of these chairs I have to cut 262 separate pieces of wood. You can see from this photo how the headrest grain matches, the back braces match and so on. There are 27 pieces of wood in each rocker (the parts that touch the floor) which also match perfectly!"
"My regular rockers (non StoryTime) sell for five to six thousand dollars. Looking at that price, it makes the StoryTime, which is almost twice the work, look like a bargain. I have been making rockers since 1992, about 26 years as of this writing."
Hal charges a pretty penny for the triple seater rocking chair, as it'll run you around $7,500!
