We collect what you provide
That can include an email subscription, a message, a product pitch, a comment where enabled, or the details required to investigate a rights request.
02
The site records basic activity
Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising services may process device, browser, page, referral, approximate-location, cookie, and similar technical data.
03
We do not sell mailing lists
OddityMall does not sell personal information for money. Advertising activity may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some privacy laws.
04
You can ask about your data
Use the privacy form below to request access, correction, deletion, an advertising opt-out, or another privacy review. We may need to verify your identity.
1. Scope and controller
This Policy applies to odditymall.com, the OddityMall email newsletter, and information sent through OddityMall-operated forms. It does not govern a retailer, manufacturer, crowdfunding campaign, social platform, embedded service, or other third party you visit from an OddityMall link.
The controller for information described in this Policy is Nigelco LLC d/b/a OddityMall, based in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota, United States. Contact us at [email protected] or use the privacy request form.

2. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
- General contact: name, email address, selected topic, an optional OddityMall page address, and your message.
- Product submissions: name, email address, company or publication, relationship to the product, product name, official and media URLs, price or availability details, product description, and your explanation of why it fits OddityMall.
- Copyright, trademark, attribution, and removal requests: request type, rights holder, legal name, role or authority, email, telephone number, mailing address, description and location of the material, explanation, requested action, declarations, and electronic signature.
- Privacy requests: name, email address, request type, relationship to OddityMall, location or jurisdiction if supplied, and the details needed to understand the request.
- Newsletter: email address and subscription status. The primary signup flow uses a self-hosted Sendy newsletter service; a hosted or legacy signup link may route through Mailchimp.
- Comments: if comments are enabled on a page and you submit one, WordPress may collect the name, email, website, comment, IP address, browser information, and convenience-cookie choices associated with that submission.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, our servers and service providers may process IP address, user agent, browser and device type, operating system, screen or viewport size, page path and title, referring page, traffic source, standard campaign parameters, approximate country or region, timestamps, session activity, ad impressions or interactions, and security or bot signals.
Our forms also use nonces, signed timing tokens, hidden honeypot fields, and temporary rate-limit records to distinguish ordinary submissions from automated abuse. The form plugin emails accepted submissions to the OddityMall support mailbox and does not intentionally publish them or add them to a public database.
Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information
Do not send Social Security numbers, government identification, financial account credentials, payment-card data, passwords, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through an OddityMall form. A rights request may require contact, authority, declaration, and signature information, but it should not include unrelated confidential material.
3. How and why we use information
- Operate, deliver, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site.
- Respond to questions, corrections, accessibility feedback, media requests, partnerships, and other communications.
- Evaluate product submissions, verify details, request clarification, and make independent editorial decisions.
- Investigate and document copyright, trademark, attribution, privacy, legal, and safety requests.
- Manage newsletter subscriptions, deliver requested email, and maintain suppression records after an unsubscribe.
- Measure audience activity, understand content performance, prevent abuse, and protect the Site.
- Display, personalize where permitted, limit repetition of, and measure advertising.
- Attribute affiliate referrals and understand whether a click resulted in a purchase or other action.
- Comply with law, enforce our policies, establish or defend legal claims, and protect people, rights, and systems.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, our legal bases may include your consent; performance of a service you requested; compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in publishing, communicating, measuring audiences, preventing abuse, improving the Site, and protecting legal rights. We balance those interests against the effect on individuals and rely on consent when applicable law requires it.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, the relationship involved, security and recordkeeping needs, and applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the record:
- Messages and product submissions: while they are being reviewed and for a reasonable period afterward to handle follow-up, prevent repeated pitches, document editorial decisions, and resolve disputes.
- Rights, privacy, and legal requests: as long as reasonably necessary to investigate, respond, document compliance, and establish or defend legal claims.
- Newsletter records: while subscribed. We may retain a limited suppression record after an unsubscribe so the address is not added or mailed again unintentionally.
- Comments: while the comment remains published or as otherwise needed for moderation, security, and legal obligations.
- Analytics: according to configured service periods. Fluxly analytics may be retained for up to 24 months by default; aggregate or de-identified reporting may be kept longer.
- Security and server logs: for a limited period appropriate for operation, fraud prevention, investigation, backup rotation, and legal compliance.
When information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it. Copies may remain temporarily in backups or records that must be preserved by law.
7. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or additional information; object to or withdraw consent for certain processing; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; or appeal a decision on a privacy request.
You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in a newsletter. You can control cookies through your browser and, where displayed, the Site’s consent or privacy-choice controls. Google advertising choices are also available through Google Ads Settings.
We do not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right. Rights are not absolute, and we may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot verify identity, must retain information, or need to protect another person’s rights. An authorized agent may submit where applicable, but we may require proof of authority and identity verification.
8. International processing, security, and children
International processing
OddityMall is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguard, we and our providers rely on appropriate contractual, legal, or recognized transfer measures.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, software maintenance, form validation, anti-spam controls, and security monitoring. No internet service or email system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Additional age thresholds may apply in some jurisdictions.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when the Site, our providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when required.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected] or through the form below. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. Other jurisdictions may provide a similar regulator or appeal process.
Privacy request
Exercise a privacy choice or ask a privacy question
Tell us what you are requesting and how you interacted with OddityMall. Do not upload or include government identification, financial information, passwords, or unrelated sensitive records. We will request additional verification only if it is reasonably necessary.
Privacy FAQ
Common privacy questions
Does OddityMall sell my personal information?
OddityMall does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define personalized advertising disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You can submit an applicable opt-out request through the privacy form.
Does a product seller receive information when I read an OddityMall article?
Not merely because you read an OddityMall page. If you click a seller or affiliate link, your browser contacts that destination and the seller or affiliate network may receive referral, device, cookie, and activity data under its own privacy policy.
Where do service-form submissions go?
Accepted general contact, product, rights, and privacy submissions are sent through WordPress mail to [email protected]. The form plugin does not intentionally publish them or create a public submission record.
Can I request deletion of a message or submission?
You may ask through the privacy form. We will review the request under applicable law and may retain limited information when necessary for legal claims, rights documentation, security, suppression, or another permitted purpose.
How do I stop newsletter email?
Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. We may retain a limited suppression record so the address is not accidentally subscribed or mailed again.
Can OddityMall delete information held by a retailer or social platform?
No. OddityMall can address information it controls. Contact the retailer, platform, manufacturer, affiliate network, advertising provider, or other third party directly about information it controls.
