The Cinematic Smart Case is a case for your iPhone 6 that will turn your phone into a professional video camera that uses mirrors to point the phone's camera through a camera lens. Inspired by the design of the old Super 8 video cameras from the 60s, the cinematic smart case comes complete with a real-time viewfinder that uses mirrors to view a small preview area on the screen of the iPhone, and gives you the ability to use a variety of different lenses including a wide angle lens, a macro lens, a fish-eye lens, and a telephoto lens. The case also gives you the ability to mount things on the top of the case like microphones, lighting, as well as handles. Need to use your phone? Simply eject your phone using the button on the back of the case and slide your phone out to share your newly created video.
To start shooting, simply press in the big red button on the front of the case, to stop filming just let go. The device also comes with an app that works with the smart case to help you enhance your video.
The Cinematic Smart Case or CS1 as so it's called is able to use a manual and a automatic focus, has a f/ 2.2 aperature, has auto image stabilization, uses exposure control, and has a Sapphire crystal lens cover.
The Cinematic Smart Case is beginning a funding phase on Kickstarter on July 13, but you can get more info and sign up for more details on their website. As of now the case will only be available for the iPhone 6, but depending on the success of their Kickstarter campaign they may make different versions of the case for other phones.
