We Found The Best and Coolest Viking Chair Designs Ever

Touted as the oldest chair design ever made, I'm confused as to how I'm just finding out about Viking chairs now! They're name varies as to who you ask, between a viking chair, a bog chair, an African chair, a stargazer chair, or even just an x-chair, the unique and super simple design of the chair has actually been a build project for the Boy Scouts since the 1930's. The chair consists of just two pieces, a large board that gets used as a backrest, and another smaller board that slides through the back rest and acts as a seat.

The angle of the Viking chair allows you to sit comfortable and lean back while relaxing. The two boards push against each other to form a super comfy spot for sitting around a campfire/bonfire, extra seating on a patio, or even indoors in a man-cave, around a fireplace, etc. The viking chair is a super simple woodworking project, but people have started taking it a step further with incredible detailed designs inscribed or cutout of the boards.
