There's just something about magnets that make my spidey-senses tingle. They're properties are just so magical and alien-like that it seems like it's some sort of trickery that just doesn't belong here on Earth. With things like magnetic putty, magnetic baby locks, and double-sided magnetic window cleaners, I feel like us humans are just not worthy of this beautiful technology. This unique sand timer uses a base that has a giant magnet in it along with tiny grains of iron instead of sand so that as the sand falls into the lower half of the hourglass it forms amazing shapes and figures. The magnetic sand will then stay in a cool connected form until you remove it from the magnetic base.

The magnetic sand timer makes for a perfect piece of unique decor for a modern-designed home, or just a fully functional hourglass sand timer for game night. It comes in two pieces, a small wooden block that contains a magnet, and the actual glass hourglass.

The magnetic sand timer will last for about 1 minute, is made from glass along with a wooden base, can easily be started over by just flipping it around, and measures 7.6 inches tall x 3.4 inches wide x 3.3 inches long.
