How many times have you sliced your finger open trying to tie a hook to your fishing line? If you're an expert fisherman probably not that often anymore, but if you go fishing once every two years like I do, it probably happens every time you go fishing. This little device called the Hook-Eze lets you easily and safely tie your hook to your fishing line without anyway to cut yourself.
Get the version with a bottle opener here
To use it, simply open the container and place the hook inside, which leaves the stem of the hook outside of the container for you to tie it. Place the end of your fishing line through the hooks hoop, and use the finger loop to easily spin the device around to tie your knot. You can then remove your hook from the device and use the line cutter on the side of the device to easily cut your excess line.
The Hook-Eze works with hooks sized between 4/0 to No.28, circle hooks 3/0 or smaller, as well as selected flies, swivels, snap-ons & speed clips for lure fishing.
Done fishing? The Hook-Eze allows you to snap your hook into it to keep it safe when you're not fishing, plus it snaps right onto the runner of the rod so that it won't get tangled when not in use. From there you can easily put your rod into your car without worrying about pricking your upholstery, children, or pets.
