In an interview with Bored Panda, Daniel states that he began creating unique tights 3 years ago, and wanted to make a special pair for his girlfriend since she loves mermaids.

Once Daniel posted a picture of his girlfriend wearing the tentacle tights that he created, the internet went wild, and so he decided to sell them online.

Of course the tentacle tights sold out immediately, so we can only assume he's struggling to keep up with demand for the unique sea-creature tights.

Over time he's gotten better and better at making the tentacle tights so they're higher quality than the original concept that he made for his girlfriend.

Since the tentacle tights are so time consuming to make, he can only take a small amount of sales at a time. Which is why it seems, at the time of this writing at least, that the sea-creature tights are still sold out.

We can only hope that he is able to make the Ursula tights quicker and easier so that more people can buy and enjoy them in the future, especially come time for Comic Con.

The Tentacle Tights are made using nylon, along with specially formed silicone that takes the shape of the tentacles of an octopus.
