At first glance you might not know what this thing is, but once you get close enough to smell it or see how it works, you should know exactly what it is. Designed by Shigeichiro Takeuchi, a Japanese designer, the Swing Bin is the most beautiful looking trash can you’ll ever see. The Swing Bin is shaped like a cylinder with a slanted top which when pushed down, will swing open for you to place the trash in, and once your hand is removed, the top will swing back and close itself. The bin has no mechanism, no screws, gears, or wires, it’s just a wooden lid that fits precisely on the cylinder with the ability to swing open and closed, and is so simple even a dummy like you can use it.
