Stop riding your bike while steering with one hand with the other hand on your phone to get directions. These smart grips for your bicycle will vibrate to tell you when to turn left and right by syncing to your smart phone via Bluetooth. Simply input your destination, start the navigation, and slip your phone into your pocket. The smrtGRiPS not only gives you directions while riding, but come with a load of other features, including: haptic feedback for road conditions while riding, track your bike via GPS if you lose it or it gets stolen, when attempting to find your bike in a crowd of other bikes you can have it play a noise so that you can find it easier, receive notifications if someone in your group gets separated, plus more.
To install it, just replace the grips like you would any other set of grips, but afterwards just slip the smrtGRiPS device into the grip and tighten it. The smrtGrips come with an aluminum casing, have a 300 foot Bluetooth range, are waterproof at up to 10m, contain a high capacity rechargeable battery that will last up to 3 months on normal use, is rechargeable via USB, and is compatible with iPhone and Android devices.
The Smart Bicycle Grips are currently in a funding phase on IndieGoGo with an estimated delivery date of August 2015 so go reserve yours now, and be sure to check out the smart grips in action via the videos below.
