Where was this when I was in the construction business? Well no, I was never in the construction business, but I did use a measuring tape one time to measure something, although I'm not sure how the integrated pencil would help for that one. None-the-less, this Quickdraw tape measure has a built-in pencil that you can drag along the surface to make a mark exactly where you're measuring to.
How it works is, you simply expand the measuring tape like you normally would do to measure something. A red marker lays on top of the tape measure to show you exactly what tick mark will be marked using the pencil. Once you get it lined up perfectly, simply drag the body of the tape measures to the left or right to drag make the mark. A small wheel on the bottom of the tape measure will roll along a line of graphite.
The pencil measuring tape uses a graphite measuring wheel on the bottom of it to mark your spot and can easily be reloaded with new graphite straws through a hole on the top of the tape measure, but, it will offer over 1000 marks per load.
The pencil tape measure is made from quality materials from the USA, comes with a backup supply of graphite rods so keep them in a handy spot, will work on pretty much any type of wood, and is the perfect gift idea for any man or Dad.
