This Moss Shower Mat Lets You Dry Your Feet On Natural Living Moss When Exiting The Shower

If you're looking for the most natural way to dry off after taking a shower, your best bet would be to hose off with the garden hose and then air dry on some dirt or grass. But your next best bet would be to air-dry on one of these amazing real moss bathroom mats! The Moss Bathroom Mat is a concept designed by a Swiss designer named Nguyen La Chanh, and much like the living moss wall art that we posted a while back, is one of many unique ways of having functional plants inside your home.

The unique and natural moss shower mat is made using an imputrescible foam called plastazote, and then several types of moss are implanted into the foam and will survive off just the humidity from your bathroom and moisture that comes from your body after showering.

Although this is just a concept until the designer can attain financial backing to mass produce the moss carpet. "The Moss Carpet was born from a fascination for nature, more precisely its amazing complexity and detailed perfection. It also came from the fact that decorating a home with plants make it extremely warm and beautiful."

They're challenge in creating the rug was to "create a sensitive interaction between body and plants, feeling transported into nature.". They're solution then came by creating a "bathroom rug composed of forest moss, watered by the drops streaming along the legs and the environment’s humidity".

The moss carpet is like bringing home a piece of freedom. It is fluffy, relaxing and when you step on it, it makes you dream.

The living moss bath mat survives off just the humidity from your bathroom, as well as the moisture that comes off of you after you exit the shower!

The moss mat is made from an extremely fluffy recycled foam, and features a waterproof base to conceal any moisture from leaking out the bottom.

The moss shower mat was created and designed by Nection Design, a design firm based out of Switzerland.

The moss shower mat seems to not be available for sale anywhere, and looks to be a one-off item created by the design firm for marketing purposes.
