The battery that powers the light in each earring is hidden behind your ear, and not much bigger than the actual jewel on the front of the earring. Each battery will give you around 30 hours of usage time, while each set of earrings come with 3 to 5 set of fresh batteries depending on which version you select.

The light-up LED earrings come in a bunch of different colors to choose from, and have two different versions, the original that shows a static LED light that stays lit when turned on, and another flashing version that blinks and continues to blink when turned on.
