The Flexbot is a DIY and open source drone that comes with all of the essential parts to a drone unassembled so that you can put it all together yourself and learn a little bit more about how drones work. Plus if you have a 3D printer you can create your very own shells to make your drone much more unique and personal. The drone even comes with a camera on-board that allows you to snap pictures and videos from your new creation in the air. The DIY drone doesn't come with a remote, as you will actually use an app on your smart phone or tablet to control the drone using your touchscreen and your device's accelerometer.
The FlexBot DIY drone comes with a 350 mAh battery that offers up to 7 minutes of flight time, connects to any Android or iOS device via Bluetooth 4.0, uses a 5.8GHz video transmitter to broadcast a live video from your drone, and offers video at a 640 x 480 resolution.
The DIY drone comes with a 3D printed frame, a 3D printed cap and base, a battery, propellers, motors, a camera, spare parts, a comic book, and a charging cord.
