Sure, most pencils come with an eraser on the end of it, but for artists, and people who use pencils a lot, a good large eraser is essential. Though, do artists really want some boring pink eraser to get the job done? Chances are, probably not! This Japanese artists created these hilarious human shaped erasers that start with hair on their head, but as you use them, their hair gets removed and they slowly go bald.

The unique balding erasers were designed by the Japanese artist Ishikawa Kazuya who goes by @issikazu20 on Twitter where he posted the incredible design idea. It's safe to say that everyone loved the design of the balding eraser, and the post was met with extreme love for the idea.

The balding erasers start with a full head of stunning black hair, but as you use the eraser, it slowly grinds away part of the eraser, thus making him slowly go bald as you use it.

Before long he'll have a bald spot on the back of his head, and then slowly move to horseshoe pattern baldness.

After a bit longer he'll have no hair left at all, and chances are if you use the eraser even further, he'll slowly start losing his head!

The balding eraser design by Kazuya is called the Salaryman, and could be some sort of social commentary on unhealthy work culture for office workers. Or perhaps it's just a funny design that we can all enjoy. I'll let you decide which one it might be.

Unfortunately, the erasers that go bald as you use them are just a design idea for now, and are not actually for sale anywhere.

Though, it's fair to say that anyone could essentially create one of the balding erasers by just using a marker to draw a human with hair on their head. As the eraser gets used, your marker design will slowly fade away, and then make the eraser person bald over time.

Kazuya also designed another version of the balding erasers that are made to look like monks!

Before being used, the erasers that slowly go bald actually look like Minecraft characters as they're perfect square on the corners!

The balding erasers are actually very similar to the balding memo pad idea that was around a few years ago.

Balding memo pad would slowly bald the character as you remove sticky notepads. It was actually an advertisement made by the hair loss company called Pentogar.
