The Bailey Discovery D4-2 Camper Trailer Has an Inflatable Enclosed Awning

Gone are the days of sleeping on the cold hard ground in a tent, at least for me. If I'me ever outside the luxuries of no less than a 4-star hotel, I'm going to need a camper or RV that can give me all of the necessities my needy body requires. Since I can't quite afford the $1.7 Million Dollar RV With It's Own Garage, I may have to keep looking. But this new camper trailer by Bailey might be something to peak some interests!

It's called the Discovery D4-2, and the thing that really catches your eye is the amazing inflatable awning that surrounds half of it and is fully enclosed to keep the bugs out!

By itself the 2021 Bailey Discovery D4-2 is a moderately to cheap priced camper trailer at least for one that's brand new, at just over $20k USD. Though the best part of the camper (the inflatable enclosed awning) is not actually included in the base price of the camper.

You'll need to throw another $2k down to get the actual awning to attach to the camper. But in my mind, it would certainly be worth it.

The interior of the Discovery D4-2 is fairly simple and comes with pretty much all you'll need for tiny home living or an average camper experience. The traditional layout provides a front lounge, a kitchen along the side with cabinet storage, a bathroom is stuck in the corner of the camper.

The add-on awning is called the Bailey Discovery Air Awning, and it features a uniquely curved wrap-around shape that fits around the back and side of the camper. Since the awning is fully inflatable, it's super easy to pitch and setup, and then securely attaches right to the side of the camper.

"With large panoramic windows, huge skylights and fully removable doors, the awning can be transformed into a light and open space. Drop the curtains and cosy up inside the large and welcoming space when the weather stops play."

The inflatable awning is the perfect spot for a meal in the evening without all of the mosquitoes bothering you!

The inflatable awning enclosure is filled with windows so sunlight can flow inside, though each window also has a rollable curtain for privacy at night!

The awning enclosure even has a spot for placing an extra sleeping area if there's not enough room inside the camper!

The inflatable awning can be staked down to ensure it won't blow away in any high winds.

Once installed onto the side of the Discover D4-2 camper, the inflatable awning provides plenty of space right outside of the camper door for lounging outdoors, preparing meals, a spot for the kids to play, all of which can be done inside and away from all of the bugs. Plus, it's also just a great way to get some shade and keep out from under the sun.

Not only can the inflatable camper awning be a great spot to relax with some lounge chairs away from the sun and bugs, but an optional awning sleeping tent can also be attached to the inside of it for an enclosed private sleeping area. This is a great idea for older kids who want their own area, or for extra guests that just won't fit into the camper.

The awning sleeping tent connects right to the inside of the awning and can fit a standard double size blow-up air mattress inside of it. They also offer an optional skirt that'll hide the wheel and axle area of the camper.

The inflatable awning for the Bailey camper also features a half-flyscreen door on both ends of the awning for increased ventilation that allow for easy entry and exit from under the awning. If you'd rather keep the awning somewhat open and don't mind the bugs getting in, the doors and sides of it are also fully removable.

The camper awning also has large over-door skylights that allow plenty of sunlight through, but it also has zip-up curtains when you'd prefer more shade.

The space to the rear of the caravan under the awning is ideal for keeping bulky items out of the way or install the optional inner tent which comfortably sleeps two.

If you're looking for a getaway where you're not sleeping on the cold hard ground, and would like a little extra room to sprawl out outside of the camper, the Bailey Discovery D4-2 along with the inflatable air awning might be for you!
